Dutchess Gables Invasive Shrub Removal

Help protect our wetlands by removing invasive shrubs that are rapidly creeping in and choking out native vegetation. This project will help create space for native blackberry and wildflowers to thrive. Wear thick pants and warm clothes and bring plenty of water. These wetlands are home to many critically important species and invasive plants threaten to choke out these sensitive areas. While we will not be working in the wetlands, the buffer of shrubs around them is important for nutrient filtration, erosion control, and as wildlife habitat.
We will supply any gloves and tools you may need. Kids under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
